The Ask AI Copilot lives behind the sparkle icon in every VICIPanel screen's header. It's a live AI agent that knows the current page, the logged-in user, and can execute real operations through VICIPanel's MCP server, not just answer questions.
What Copilot can do
- Answer questions about the current page ('what does this setting do?')
- Pull live data ('what's my contact rate this hour?')
- Execute operations ('pause campaign 42 for 30 minutes')
- Navigate the app ('take me to the compliance dashboard')
- Explain errors with the specific fix for your environment
What makes this different from a chatbot
A chatbot tells you what to do. The Copilot does it for you. Every action respects your user level, an Agent's Copilot can't pause campaigns because the Agent can't pause campaigns. A Manager's Copilot can, because the Manager can.
Provider choice
VICIPanel's Copilot is provider-agnostic. Admin → AI → Settings lets you pick OpenAI, Anthropic, Google Gemini, Groq, or AWS Bedrock as the LLM backend. The tools the Copilot uses are the same regardless of provider.
Destructive actions (pausing, deleting) always require confirmation in the chat. Copilot can never silently change state.
