Three DNC layers must be respected on every outbound call: the National Do Not Call Registry (federal), applicable state DNCs (currently a dozen-plus states), and your organization's internal DNC list (consumers who told you directly to stop).
How scrubbing works
- List import: Federal DNC scrub runs automatically. Matches are kept on the list but suppressed from dialing.
- State DNC: VICIPanel tracks state registrations where applicable and scrubs per calling state.
- Internal DNC: When an agent dispositions a call DNC, the number is added to your internal list within seconds. Applied across all future campaigns.
Managing your internal DNC
Admin → DNC → Internal. Search by number or upload a CSV of numbers to add. Removing a number from internal DNC requires a confirmation and is logged for audit purposes.
Verbal opt-outs count the same as opt-outs on a form. Train your agents to disposition DNC immediately when a caller says 'take me off your list' or equivalent.
